CAED is in the international spotlight delivering a plenary speech on gender inclusiveness in the adoption of climate smart agriculture

Associate Professor Fay Rola-Rubzen, Deputy Director of the Centre for Agricultural Economics and Develpment (CAED), has been invited as a plenary speaker in the inaugural International Research Opportunities, Development and Extension Outcomes (IRODEO) Conference in Masbate City, Philippines held on 10-12 April 2024. The theme of the conference is “Bridging horizons: Integrating knowledge for regenerative futures”. 


Fay’s plenary speech, scheduled on Day 2 of the conference is on “The Imperative for Promoting Gender Inclusiveness in the Adoption of Climate Smart Agriculture”, a timely presentation as we continue to witness the devastating impacts of climate change, one of the top three global challenges of our time, and underlining the need for adaptation

strategies and technologies, such as climate-smart

agriculture, to be gender-inclusive.
