Research Scholarships​

 

Research Scholarships generally include:

  • Stipend of $35,000 per year for 3 or 3.5 years

  • Operating funds (varies depending on grant)

  • A laptop computer, software and office space

Post Doctoral (research-only) contracts of employment

​

​There are two current job opportunities to work on research projects within agricultural economics.  

​

National Risk Management Initiative (NRMI), also known as RiskWi$e, is a national initiative led by the CSIRO and funded by the Grain Research and Development Corporation. It seeks to understand and improve the risk-reward outcomes for Australian grain growers by supporting grower on-farm decision-making. The Research Fellow/Associate will contribute to research to better understand how growers make decisions about risks.

AND

​

The Australian Research Council-funded Industrial Training and Transformation Centre for Behavioural Insights for Technology Adoption (BITA) is a collaboration between three leading universities: QUT, UQ and UWA. BITA works with industry, government and start-up partners to overcome stubborn problems and grand challenges in the adoption of innovative technology. The Research Fellow/Associate will conduct behavioural research with farmers and industry partners to enhance adoption of innovations in agriculture.
