AARES 2022 Conference

This year the 2022 AARES conference was organised by the New England Branch in an online format with participants joining from around the world. It ran for three days, between 7th - 11th February, 2022 and dealt with topical and important issues related to the conference theme; Resilience in a time of uncertainty.

It was wonderful to see the large representation of CAED members, collaborators and postgraduate research students attending the conference. Our Centre was involved in delivering a workshop and a number of mini symposia as well as presenting research papers. It was also noticed that our members participated in all sessions and provided quality input.

Research partners on our ACIAR-funded Farmer Behaviour Insights Project (FBIP) presented several papers and these are available to watch from their project website under outreach.

We would like to congratulate Tshering Samdrup on receiving the AARES Crawford Fund Award in recognition of his great work in international agricultural economics, and Michael Burton who was named an AARES Distinguished Fellow in recognition of everything he has contributed and continues to contribute to our community. Well done!
